Why are Spelling Lists Important?

Autocorrect and spellcheck aren't foolproof and there are occasional errors with these programs.
Teaching students to be effective spellers builds self-confidence. An excellent spelling program should not only teach students to spell but also introduce new vocabulary words. This creates better writers who can utilize the English language to the best of their abilities.
