This inquiry unit focuses on the behaviours and adaptations of birds in the wintertime. It is perfect for the long cold months of winter following the winter break. Students will ask questions and wonder about what birds do during the winter. They will have the opportunity to make a winter bird craft and a bird feeder to help feed birds that stay during the winter.
 
Some worksheets have 2 levels. Level A is the higher, Grade 2 level. Level B is the lower, Grade 1 level. The level is indicated in the bottom right corner of the page.
