In this workbook, students learn about Alimentation saine (Healthy Eating) aligned with the new 2019 Grade 3 Ontario FRENCH Santé (Health) Curriculum.


In this workbook, students will learn about the fundamentals of food, exploring its sources from production to distribution. Topics include understanding what comprises our meals, the processes behind food production, the journey from farm to plate, and the differences between minimally and highly processed foods.

 

Students will delve into the impact of food on the environment, strategies to reduce food waste, and explore global culinary traditions. Finally, the workbook offers insights into maintaining oral health.

There is a variety of readings, short answer questions, cut-and-paste activities, and drawing prompts included to create a varied workbook suitable for many learning styles.

 

To support assessment practices, Ontario curriculum expectations are clearly identified on each page. A unit test is included at the end of the workbook.
