Students will learn many interesting things about Ontario. They will explore the provinces and territories of Canada through maps and descriptions. Also, they will learn about land use in Ontario, including its purpose and how it is compared to other areas. They will learn about municipal governments and Indigenous reserves, including band councils. They will also discover the importance of environmental stewardship and learn about different landforms and climates.
Slides focus on specific regions of Ontario, such as the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Lowlands, the Hudson Bay Lowlands, and the Canadian Shield. Students will learn about the industries and life in these regions, including manufacturing, tourism, hunting, fishing, mining, and forestry. They will also explore topics like deforestation, conservation, and natural resources.
