In this workbook, students learn about Développement de la personne et santé sexuelle (Human Development) aligned with the new 2019 Grade 4 Ontario FRENCH Santé (Health) Curriculum.
In this workbook, students will explore human development and sexual health, beginning with an understanding of adolescence, rites of passage, and the stages of puberty for both biological females and males. They will learn about the physical changes during puberty, including the role of hormones, and engage in quizzes to reinforce their knowledge.
Additionally, students will discover the importance of personal hygiene, oral health, and emotional well-being during puberty, as well as the social impacts and relationships that accompany this stage of development. Through activities and discussions, students will gain valuable information and resources to navigate this period of change with confidence and understanding.
There is a variety of readings, short answer questions, cut-and-paste activities, and drawing prompts included to create a varied workbook suitable for many learning styles.
To support assessment practices, Ontario curriculum expectations are clearly identified on each page. A unit test is included at the end of the workbook.
