This project is intended as a culminating task for Grade 8 History - Canada, 1850-1914: A Changing Society

 

In this task, students will explore the transformative period of Canadian history from 1890 to 1914. Students will complete investigative research and critical thinking to craft a compelling news article that captures the essence and significance of a pivotal event during this era. Students will review primary and secondary sources to obtain information about your chosen event.

 

For research, students can use notes that they took during the unit, their history textbook, other non-fiction texts, or online sources.
